Dried chokeberry pomace
Dried chokeberry pomace (dried pomace or ground to the fraction ordered)
In addition to its high content of basic nutrients, dried black chokeberry pomace is the richest anthocyanin raw material, with various cyanidin glycosides. The pharmacological effect of chokeberry, and especially anthocyanin preparations obtained from juice or residues after pressing juice from fruit, is complex and results from its rich chemical composition, and in particular from the content of anthocyanins, polyphenols, vitamins and microelements. Many experimental studies have shown that anthocyanins and other flavonoids and phenolic compounds contained in chokeberry prevent the formation of excess free radicals, including hydroxyl, superoxide, nitrite, chlorine and others that have harmful effects in the body. The ability to absorb free radicals depends on the content of substances with antioxidant properties. Chokeberry is a raw material not only with a high content of anthocyanins, but also phenolic acids, flavonols and proanthocyanidins. Chokeberry anthocyanins are chemical compounds with extremely low toxicity. They dissolve very well in water, which makes them easy to penetrate into cells. The use of chokeberry in animal nutrition can be very useful during the period of intensive growth, as well as in animals/birds exposed to thermal stress. Dried chokeberry pomace is produced in accordance with the requirements of the European feed safety standard GMP+ and the ISO 9001 standard.
