Dried organic blackberry pomace

Fruit intended for dried organic thornless blackberry pomace comes from certified organic plantations. Due to the method of cultivation, organic dried fruit is characterized primarily by the fact that it contains less nitrates (V) and nitrites (III) and pesticide residues, but more vitamin C and E, total sugars, fat and valuable protein. Due to the content of a number of polyphenolic compounds and vitamin C, blackberry (Rubus subgenus) has medicinal properties, which is why it is classified as a natural pharmaceutical used during colds, bacterial and viral infections. Dried organic blackberry pomace contains 9-11% total protein, 9-11% fat, crude ash max. 3% and a significant content of crude fibre of 45-47%. It is also rich in nitrogen-free extractive compounds in the form of sugars, pectins and organic acids. Due to its high fatty acid content, dried thornless blackberry pomace is a good source of energy and essential unsaturated fatty acids (EFAs), including oleic acid (1.34), linoleic acid (59.12%) and alpha-linolenic acid (13.6%). In addition, dried blackberry pomace has high antioxidant activity. It is recommended for use in the diet of humans and animals exposed to stress. The main applications of dried organic thornless blackberry pomace include: as a flavouring and colouring ingredient and as a filler in fruit tea compositions – up to 50% of the finished product.
