Pear pomace contains skin, pulp, core and seeds left after industrial juice production. Dried pear pomace contains: 86% dry matter; 2-5% total protein; 2-3% crude fat, 34-38% crude fibre, max. 4% crude ash; minerals including: calcium 0.13%; assimilable phosphorus 0.1%. Dried pear pomace contains organic acids, including malic acid, citric acid. In addition, dried pear pomace, especially in the skin, contains anthocyanins, in particular cyanidin derivatives. When used in the diet of animals, they have a positive effect on intestinal peristalsis, modulation of the composition of intestinal microflora. Dried pear pomace is produced in accordance with the requirements of the European feed safety standard GMP+ and the ISO 9001 standard.
